Project ACADEMY OF MOSCOW CONTEMPORARY MUSIC ENSEMBLE has resulted from the activity of the group in the Russian regions in which course were the main problem of the Russian musical life – insufficiency of knowledge of contemporary music of the XX-XXI centuries is revealed. Academies of the Moscow Ensemble help to compensate information vacuum, give stimulus to the beginning of the vigorous activity of inhabitants of regions at home, promote decentralization of a cultural life of the country and its more active integration into the European cultural house. Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, with their 20 years of experience of bringing contemporary music from numerous European countries to Russian regions, makes the ideal tandem for the implementation of this project in Russia. They have a broad professional network and thorough knowledge of the conditions for music making in Russian cities and their neighborhoods. Leading composers of Russia, France, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, Estonia and other European countries take part in them. Academies pass from April till December 2010 in different regions of the country: in cities of Ural, Siberia, the Volga region and the central part of Russia. They consist of concerts, master classes, workshops and competitions for young composers.
